Find the right 11+ tutor, without the noise.
Tell us what you are looking for, once. We will match your enquiry to specialist 11+ tuition.
Start your enquiryAbout two minutes. No charge. We never ask for your child’s name.
What this is
Clear Beacon is an enquiry service. You describe what you are looking for once, and we put it in front of tutors and tuition providers who work with children preparing for the eleven plus.
We are not a tuition agency and we do not employ tutors. We do not set the fees, sit in on the lessons, or take a view on how your child should be taught. What we do is save you writing the same message out again and again.
Who it is for
- Parents of children in Years 3 to 6 preparing for grammar or independent school entry.
- Families who want tuition online, in person, or are happy with either.
- Anyone who would rather send one enquiry than work through a page of search results.
What happens next
- You fill in the form. It asks nine short questions and takes about two minutes.
- We read it and look for specialist 11+ tuition covering your area, your child’s school year and anything you have named.
- Whoever we match you with gets in touch directly. You decide whether to take it any further, and you are not committed to anything by asking.
If we cannot find a good match we will email and tell you, rather than leave you waiting to hear.
Tell us what you need
- Your child’s school year, and whether you want tuition online or in person
- Your postcode, and the schools or exam you are working towards
- Your first name, email and phone number
We do not ask for your child’s name, school, or anything else about them. The school year is all a tutor needs to tell you whether they can help.
Questions parents ask
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Sending an enquiry is free and there is no charge for being matched. You would pay the tutor for lessons in the ordinary way.
- Do you choose the tutor for us?
- No. We match your enquiry to tuition that fits what you have described. Who you go with, and whether you go with anyone, is entirely your decision.
- What do you do with our details?
- We use them to deal with your enquiry. We do not pass them to anyone else without naming that company and asking you first. The privacy notice sets out the detail, including how we expect to be paid.
- Do you need my child’s name?
- No, and we would rather not have it. The form asks which school year they are in and nothing else about them.
- We have not settled on schools yet.
- Leave that box empty. It helps a tutor if you know, but plenty of parents are still working it out, and it is not needed to send the enquiry.
